GOODE, Va. (WFXR) – Second Wind Farm is offering a haunted trail experience like no other during the month of Oct. The third annual Spooktacular Spooky Trail Walk will open the frights the back up on Friday the 13th.
Over the weekends until Oct. 29, guests will walk a mile thru the dark and eerie woods, seeing what scare could possibly be next in the forest. Second Winds Farm Benjamin Lamore says guests will have a different experience compared to other haunted houses.
“You go into the darkness and find yourself looking around and wondering what’s coming next,” said Lamore, “It’s not just being hit all the time and the scares are a little more spread out.”
Line up starts at 6:30 p.m. for the first 7:00 p.m. walking time slot. It is first come first serve for purchasing tickets in line and time slots are assigned to limit the amount of time in line. The final walk of the night starts at 9 p.m.
The Spooky Trail Walk is for ages 13 and up. No children under the age of 13 will be allowed on the walk, but there is a kid’s zone with bounce houses, an obstacle course, games, and pumpkin carving.
For $10, a hayride will take guests around the farm for a family-friendly tour around the farm. Kids under five are free.
New to this year, Second Wind Farm will also be offering a Paintball Zombie Shoot where guests will have the opportunity to shoot down live zombies like in the movies. There will also be a kid’s version of this activity as well.
“It’s built for families,” said Lamore What we are trying to do is build a family tradition where people come back every year, come together and enjoy the night together on the farm.”
Tickets for all activities are available for purchase online. To buy tickets or for more information, visit the Second Wind Farm website.
