NELSON COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Members of the Nelson County School Board decided during Thursday night’s meeting to postpone the start time to phased-in hybrid learning until Feb. 15.

As a result of this delay, Nelson County Public Schools says the PK-3 drive-thru Open House previously scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 19, has been canceled. However, details for a future open house will reportedly be provided at a later date.

In addition, the schol district reminds families that schools will be closed and there will not be any virtual classes on Monday, Jan. 18, in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s contributions.
