Martinsville City Public Schools to reopen schools to certain students on March 8

Back to School

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — A number of students with Martinsville City Public Schools are set to return to the classroom in less than two weeks.

According to a statement released by Martinsville school officials on Tuesday, Feb. 23, schools will reopen for in-person learning on March 8 for preschool, kindergarten, special population students, and English learners.

These student populations are set to receive packets from their schools with important information about scheduling and transportation amid the return to face-to-face instruction.

However, if students do not receive this information, that means they are not scheduled to start in-person learning on March 8.

If you have any questions, you are asked to call your student’s school.

Note: The students impacted by this reopening plan have been updated based on the correction released by Martinsville City Public Schools.
