Friday marks final day to choose between in-person, virtual learning for Amherst County students

Back to School

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — For families in the Amherst County Public Schools community, Friday marks the final day to choose between in-person or remote instruction for next year.

School officials say students will be able to choose between five days a week of face-to-face learning or five days a week of virtual learning.

“We strongly encourage everyone to come back in person but understand that some families may prefer or need to remain virtual for health reasons,” Amherst County Public Schools said in a Facebook post last week.

If you want your student(s) to come back to school in-person, you do not need to do anything because in-person is the default option.

However, if you want your student(s) to learn remotely, you need to fill out the 2021-22 ACPS 100% Virtual Learning Request Form by Friday, June 11.
