HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Rockingham County Investigators tell WFXR News that an active search is happening in Ridgeway, where a wanted man was spotted by an officer.
Officials say an officer came across Jesse Wayne Edwards, of Eden, North Carolina, around noon on Tuesday. When the officer tried to make contact with Edwards, he ran off into the woods.
Edwards is wanted for first-degree kidnapping and shooting into an occupied dwelling in North Carolina, among other charges.
Virginia State Police and Henry County is assisting with the search.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
