LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — A private school in Lynchburg has received a major pledge from an anonymous donor that will go toward expanding its campus.
The pledge of $200,000 goes toward the New Vista School’s Mind-Body-Spirit capital campaign, which has a goal of $950,000.
The funds raised will go to building a new gymnasium, two new science classrooms, and an art classroom for the non-profit day school.
Founded in 1986, the New Vista School is “dedicated to serving the needs of children and adolescents experiencing learning and attention difficulties,” its website says.
Thus far, $580,000 has been pledged towards the campaign.
