LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR)—The Lynchburg Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at the AutoZone on Fort Ave Sunday, Nov. 19.
According to the police department, officers responded to the AutoZone location to investigate an armed robbery that had just occurred. It was reported the store was robbed at by a man who allegedly held employees at gunpoint and demanded they open the registers. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled off.
Upon investigation and review of surveillance video from AutoZone, police describe the suspect as a male approximately 5’11” to 6’. Police say he appeared to be wearing a mask displaying the letters KASK, a black hat, black pants, and black gloves.
