WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man is now facing several charges after his alleged involvement in an illegal drug distribution investigation in Wythe County.

On Sept. 26, deputies with the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office stopped 40-year-old Michael Jerome Johnson, from Ivanhoe, on Lots Gap Road. Authorities said Johnson was allegedly driving a 2007 white Dodge Charger with a fake license plate.

During the investigation, the deputy allegedly found two guns on Johnson and he was placed under arrest. As the search of the vehicle continued, authorities allegedly discovered the following:

  • 148 grams of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and several baggies of pills
  • $1,542 in cash

Johnson was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a concealed weapon
  • Possession of 20 grams or more of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute
  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule 2 with the intent to distribute

He is being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail.
