CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — On Aug. 31 a Campbell County judge sentenced a woman to two decades in prison for the murder of 3-year-old Ian Berger.
Megan Paris was sentenced to 40 years in prison with 20 suspended.
In September 2020, Ian was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, where he later passed away. As the investigation continued, it was revealed that Ian suffered severe trauma to his head while in the care of Paris.
According to authorities, Paris was in a relationship with Ian’s dad during the time of the incident.
Paris has been in jail since her arrest and will get credit for the years she already served.
