PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — The Pulaski County Sherriff’s Office is reporting a man and woman from Pulaski have been charged in the alleged abduction of two Franklin County juveniles on March 21st.

On Tuesday, officers began searching for two juveniles that were initially considered runaways. Investigators were able to get in contact with one of the missing juvenile’s biological mothers at a location in Pulaski County.

Information learned from speaking with the biological mother directed the investigation to a residence on Thaxton Road, where the two missing juveniles were then located.

On the scene, officers learned the two were not free to leave due to the alleged actions of 57-year-old Thomas Anthony Morris of Pulaski. Morris has been charged with two counts of Abduction.

47-year-old Melissa Dawn Trainer of Pulaski has been charged with contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Obstruction of Justice.

Both Morris and Trainer are currently being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond. The Pulaski County Sherriff’s Office notes this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are pending. WFXR News will update you as information becomes available.
