SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (WFXR) — The South Boston Police Department reports three people have been wounded in a shooting that occurred near Llewellyn Ave on April 2nd.

Around 3:34 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the area of Llewellyn Ave and College Street, where they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured parties, including two females and one male, were all transported to the hospital for treatment.

On the scene, officers interviewed several witnesses and allegedly recovered spent bullet casings they believed were discharged from a handgun.

Following the investigation, 21-year-old Daquan E. Valentine of Franklinton, North Carolina has been charged and arrested with three counts of Malicious Wounding and the Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
