ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke Police have made an arrest in the Williamson Road shooting that injured three people on Aug. 25.

According to police, 41-year-old Brian S. Ree of Roanoke was identified as a suspect early in the investigation. He has been charged with Malicious Wounding.

The Star City Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, all assisted with locating and apprehending Reep.

This remains an ongoing investigation and no further details are currently available.



ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke Police Department says they are investigating a shooting that left three people injured on Friday morning.

On Aug. 25 around 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 3800 block of Williamson Road NW for reports of multiple people with gunshot wounds. On the scene, officers found a man with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

While still on the scene, officers learned that a woman and a man had arrived at the hospital. The woman had what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and the man had a serious gunshot wound.

Roanoke Police says their preliminary investigation indicates that a man got into an argument inside the business, and the argument escalated into a fight. The man left the business and returned a short time later. The fight continued outside the business and escalated to a shooting.

At this time, no suspects have been taken into custody.

This is an ongoing investigation and officers are working to locate the suspect.
