ROANOKE, VA (WFXR) – Roanoke PD says the search continues in the ongoing Melrose Avenue homicide investigation after the shooting that occurred on Sunday, September 17th.

25-year-old Edward L. Denoyer of Roanoke is currently wanted on active warrants for Second Degree Murder with additional charges pending. He is considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach.

ROANOKE, VA (WFXR) – Roanoke PD has released new details regarding the victims involved in the double homicide on Melrose Avenue that occurred late Sunday night.
According to police, an unidentified woman was found lying outside the home with a critical gunshot wound. An unidentified man was also found with a critical gunshot wound inside of a vehicle parked at the home. Roanoke Fire-EMS pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
Additional officers were then called to the intersection of 10th Street and Salem Avenue SW for a report of a person with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. A man with non-life-threatening injuries was found. Officers performed emergency aid on the man until Roanoke Fire-EMS arrived and transported him to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
The investigation is still ongoing. It is currently believed that all three victims were allegedly injured at the Melrose Avenue NW home during a gathering that was taking place. Police say that a verbal dispute occurred and then allegedly escalated into a shooting.

ROANOKE, VA (WFXR) – Two people are dead as Roanoke Police investigate another shooting in the city over the weekend.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of Melrose Avenue NW at 10:40 p.m. Sunday for reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found two people dead. The victims have not been identified yet.
Right now, no arrests have been made, and Roanoke Police does not have any suspects. Officers urge anyone with information about this case to contact Roanoke Police.
