ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke Police say a man was found shot inside a home on Westside Blvd during the early morning hours of September 17th and then later died at a local hospital.
Around 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, reports were received of a gunshot victim on the 800 block of Westside Blvd NW. On the scene, officers found a man inside a home with a critical gunshot wound.
Life-saving measures were given until Roanoke Fire-EMS arrived and transported the man to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for further treatment. The man later died of his injuries.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing and that details surrounding the shooting are currently limited. No arrests have been made at this time.
