ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke Police Department arrested a local man after a homicide occurred on Panorama Avenue on May 8.
Emergency dispatchers received reports of a person with a gunshot wound on the 3800 block of Panorama Avenue NW. On the scene, officers found a man with serious injuries lying in a parking lot in the area. First responders performed life-saving measures, but the victim died later at the hospital.
40-year-old Al-Sherrief M. Mahoney of Roanoke was identified as a suspect throughout the investigation. Mahoney was arrested on May 12 and charged with Second Degree Murder.
