MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man is facing several charges after allegedly assaulting four Virginia Tech students on the Huckleberry Trail.
According to court documents, Benjamin Fields was charged with four counts of Assault and Battery, one count of grand larceny, and two counts of destruction of property with intent.
The Montgomery County Commonwealth’s Attorney Mary Pettitt, says Fields is being held without bond. She adds that he is being evaluated for competency and sanity at the time of the offense.
Fields’s psychological review is scheduled for Jan. 22, 2024.
