Charlottesville, Va. (WFXR) — The Nelson County Sherriff’s Office assisted with an investigation that led to the arrest of a Nelson County man on March 29th, who was allegedly distributing narcotics.
On Wednesday, the Charlottesville Police Department and Jefferson Area Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Cleveland Avenue, located in Charlottesville.
During the search warrant, the following items were seized:
- 1,600 Counterfeit M30 Fentanyl pills
- 200 grams of Methamphetamine
- 428 grams of Cocaine
- 256 grams of Fentanyl
- 3 lbs. of Marijuana
- 9 firearms (including an AR-15 pistol, an AK-47 assault rifle, and a 10-22 rifle)
- $4,691 in U.S. currency
The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Shahiem Taushaun Michie, of Arrington, who has been charged with two counts of Possession with intent to Distribute a controlled substance and Possession of Firearms while in possession of a controlled substance.
Michie is currently being held without bond at the Albemarle County Regional Jail.
