MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The Martinsville Police Department (MPD) is investigating two separate shootings and has arrested an 18-year-old on May 14th.

According to MPD, on Sunday between midnight and 2 a.m., officers responded to two separate shootings. The first call was regarding shots being fired on Sunset Avenue. At the scene, officers found damaged property. Officers then responded to another shooting incident on Mountain Road where they again found damaged property.

As the investigation continued, MPD learned that both shootings occurred after the break up of large groups of people. Currently, no injuries have been reported.

18-year-old Christopher Wade, from Danville, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

The Martinsville Police Department says the two shootings remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Lowell at 276-403-5320.
