ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A man was transported to the hospital after a shooting on Gilmer Avenue NW on Sunday morning.
Roanoke Police say on August 6, around 1:25 a.m., officers were notified of shots fired near 8th Street and Gilmer Avenue NW.
When officers arrived, they began searching the area and found a man outside a home in the 900 block of Gilmer Avenue NW with what appeared to be serious gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.
Investigators say no arrests have been made at this time.
