COLLINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing at an apartment complex in Collinsville that left a woman injured on August 18.

Around 4:22 p.m., deputies were notified of a disturbance in the 70 block of Halifax Drive. When deputies arrived, they found a woman with multiple stab wounds.

During the investigation, it was revealed that 26-year-old John Goodman and the victim allegedly got into an argument about living arrangements. Deputies said when Goodman arrived at Halifax Drive, he saw the victim had changed her living arrangements. Goodman then approached the victim and allegedly stabbed her in the back with a knife.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies located Goodman walking on Halifax Drive. He was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding.

Goodman is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
