MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team says a man has been charged with multiple felonies after a warrant execution that occurred on Sept. 19.

According to the sheriff, SWAT and narcotics investigators executed the search warrant on the 2000 block of The Great Rd. in Fieldale on Tuesday.

The suspect, Bobby Ronell Helms, was allegedly found inside the residence along with over 100 grams of suspected Fentanyl and over 40 grams of suspected Cocaine. He also possessed a firearm and U.S. currency, all of which were seized.

After the search, Helms was charged with possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm while in possession of a scheduled I/II substance. He was transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center where he is currently being held with no bond.
