GALAX, Va. (WFXR) — The Galax Police Department (GPD) says it is searching for two suspects in a theft that occurred in a store in downtown Galax on June 1.
GPD says two women allegedly entered the store and one distracted the employee while the other stole a wallet and a purse. As the investigation continued, officers learned that credit cards that were allegedly stolen during the incident were used at a Walmart in Mount Airy, North Carolina on June 2.
Galax Police say the women are also suspects in similar thefts in Conover, NC.
