FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Justin Dale Sigmon, a former Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy was found guilty Friday, Nov. 17 of abusive sexual contact of a minor.
According to court documents from the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Florida, Sigmon was remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshals. The ruling comes roughly six months after federal court documents said he was caught on camera abusing a child under the age of 12 while on a cruise near Miami.
Sigmon’s sentencing hearing is set for Jan. 12.
