FIELDALE, Va. (WFXR) — A Fieldale man was taken into custody after the SWAT Team allegedly found several drugs and guns in his home on Nov. 16.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 8 a.m., the SWAT Team and investigators executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Waycross Drive. As authorities searched the home, they allegedly discovered suspected cocaine, illegally possessed prescription pills, multiple illegally possessed firearms, and an undisclosed amount of money.
The Sheriff’s Office says investigators also seized seven vehicles and found items indicating the distribution of narcotics.
41-year-old Chanton Lamonte Redd was arrested and charged with:
- Possession with the intent to distribute Cocaine in violation of 18.2-248
- Possession with the intent to distribute Hydrocodone in violation of 18.2-248
- Possession of firearm while in possession of Schedule I/II in violation of 18.2-308.4
Redd was taken to the Henry County Adult Detention Center where he received a $4,000 secured bond.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone with information about narcotic trafficking operations in the community to call (276) 638-8751 or Crimestoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463). The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information related to the crime. However, the nature of the crime and the substance of the information determines the amount of money you can receive.
