BLAND COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Deputies across the New River Valley are continuing to search for a man who is wanted in several breaking and entering investigations.
The Bland County Sheriff’s Office says on Sept. 13, officers responded to a breaking and entering incident near the 800 block of North Scenic Highway in Bland County.
As the investigation continued, deputies learned the incident occurred on Sept. 12 while the owners were away; however, they did have security footage that captured the man.
Deputies said the man was allegedly captured on video with a stainless rifle and backpack.

Investigators also believe the man seen in the video is the same man who allegedly broke into a home in Wythe County on Sept. 4. Investigators said the only thing stolen from the home in Wythe County was food.
Wythe County deputies said the man had allegedly broken into several homes in Pulaski and Bland areas. He is known to carry a rifle with a stainless steel barrel and a red backpack.
Investigators believe the man to be traveling in Bland County on foot. Anyone who sees this man or can identify him is asked to call 911 immediately. Information can also be given to the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office by calling 276-223-6000.
