AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — After a four-day-long search, the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man wanted in connection to a drug investigation was arrested on Feb. 21.

The investigation began with intelligence-based surveillance in the Bubba Lane area on Feb. 17. A vehicle of interest was identified and a traffic stop was conducted. During the stop, investigators obtained a search warrant and allegedly found 20 grams of methamphetamine.

During the investigation that followed, Cody Wayne Lipscomb was identified as a suspect. Officers searched throughout the weekend and ultimately located Lipscomb at his home in Campbell County on Feb. 21.

He was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute.
