SALEM, Va. (WFXR) – The Salem Police Department reports they have charged multiple people after a series of vehicle thefts that occurred throughout the area on August 18th.
According to police, early Friday morning, officers received reports of vehicles being unlawfully entered and two cars and a motorcycle being stolen. On the scene, investigators found the alleged suspects and were able to recover the stolen property.
The following three suspects were determined to be the primary suspects and arrested on the following charges:
28-year-old Bradey Draper of Vinton with five counts of Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle, three counts of Grand Larceny, three counts of Conspiring to Commit Grand Larceny, Accessory to Theft, and Petit Larceny.
22-year-old Carly Curtis of Roanoke was charged with two counts of Conspiring to Commit Grand Larceny, Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Accessory to Grand Larceny
33-year-old Jerrad Edwards of Roanoke was charged with three counts of Conspiring to Commit Grand Larceny, five counts of Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle, and accessory to Theft.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, but there were no weapons used during the incident and there have been no reported injuries at the time. Additional suspects have been identified and charges are pending. Draper, Curtis, and Edwards were taken to the Roanoke County-Salem Jail.
