HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says three people were stabbed at a birthday party in Collinsville on Sunday morning.
Deputies say around 2:25 a.m. on August 6, a call came in regarding a person with a knife near the 40 block of Stanley Court. The caller advised that a person was injured and the suspect had fled the scene on foot.
Investigators responded to the scene and found three adults with stab wounds. One male victim had stab wounds to both of his arms. A second male victim had multiple stab wounds to his chest and rib cage area. The third female victim was found with a cut to her arm and was transported to the hospital.
The two men were flown to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Deputies and officers with the Martinsville City Police Department began searching for the suspect who was identified as 28-year-old, Franky Uribe Merchan. He was located by Endless Road with a cut to his back and an injury on his head.
He was transported to the hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, it was learned the incident started at a birthday party with a fight between the suspect and one of the male victims. Deputies believe that as the dispute escalated Merchan allegedly went to his car, got a knife, and stabbed the two men.

Merchan was charged with three counts of Malicious Wounding. He is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
