ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Susan G. Komen Virginia Blue Ridge announced on Monday the upcoming 2020 Virginia Blue Ridge Race for the Cure — presented by Walmart — will be held virtually this year in order to protect participants’ health and safety amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The “Race for the Cure” event was originally planned for April 25 at Roanoke’s River’s Edge Sports Complex, but now it will take place across multiple digital platforms on Sept. 12 and will be dubbed, “Race Where You Are.”
