Caregivers are the unsung heroes in our community. They put in extra hours to care for their loved ones, often while holding down a job, going to school, or raising a family. Caregiving can be difficult, and many caregivers suffer emotional, physical, and financial strain. Sarah Harig of Family Service of Roanoke Valley describes the essential role that the 53 million caregivers nationwide play in our communities. Sarah and Kianna also discuss the mental health of caregivers and what each of us can do to help during National Family Caregivers Month.
