Meet the artist behind the Roanoke Elmwood Art Walks new sculpture

Roanoke, Va. (WFXR) — If you’ve recently strolled along the Elmwood Park Art Walk nestled in downtown Roanoke you may have noticed a new art addition. The sculpture titled “Telesis: The Resilient Anchor” was recently created by John Woodrum of Woodrum Studios for the Reimagining Roanoke Sculpture Exhibition and Competition.

Woodrum shares how he meticulously formed the sculpture through the thoughtful utilization of locally repurposed materials and offers insight into the contest as well as his career in industrial and graphic design and architecture.
