In the United States, there are almost 40,000 veterans who are without shelter. Getting the basic resources they need to survive can be difficult and can create negative impacts on their mental health. One organization in Roanoke, ARCH has made its mission to help the homeless through a variety of services. They recently partnered with Mason McLeod and his family after the McLeod’s donated a generous financial contribution in order to assist veterans who they have sheltered at ARCH’s Trust House. Development Director of ARCH, Rachel Geary explains this partnership.
