Helping children transition back into the classroom from virtual learning

This academic school year will have some students entering a classroom for the first time. Schools across the Commonwealth turned to virtual learning during the pandemic because of the coronavirus.

The transition from virtual learning to classrooms may have some students excited, but for others, it could be causing anxiety.

Registered Play Therapist and Clinical Program Manager for Mental Health Services at Family Service of Roanoke Valley, Sarah Harig details the warning signs parents should look for if their child is having a hard time transitioning back into the classroom. Harig also talks about ways to make the transition easier.
