Roanoke, Va. (WFXR) — In an office or work setting it’s normal for coworkers to have different communication styles which can make navigating conflict resolution seemingly difficult. However, if one doesn’t effectively mitigate tough conversations or disagreements with a colleague head-on, it can affect overall productivity and office morale.

Cortex Leadership Consultant and Coach, Lynda McNutt Foster refers to these interactions as “sweaty conversations.” Anyone who has had a job has probably personally experienced a sweaty conversation; your palms sweat, your heart races, and instead of letting your colleague “have it” you have to learn how to take a deep breath and professionally diffuse the controversial situation at hand.
