Living Local

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)– Children’s Trust is a non-profit organization that combines public education outreach, effect advocacy, and a strong network of support for Roanoke children and families. One program, the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, helps train and supervise volunteers who advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children — ensuring they have a safe, permanent home. Organizers are currently looking for adult volunteers to train.  Casa Director with Children’s Trust, Sami Radar explains how you can become a volunteer and the impact it has on a child’s life.
