New summer campaign strives to encourage local youth

Lifestyle

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Suicide Prevention Council of Roanoke Valley (SPCRV) and Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare (BRBH) have joined together to launch the “Spreading Kindness Card Campaign” and provide a source of positive encouragement for local youth.

As part of this campaign, members of the community are encouraged to embrace their creativity and craft short, sweet, and simple messages — complete with colorful decorations — to support local youth. These positive and uplifting cards will be added to the lunches being provided to Roanoke Valley kids by Feeding America Southwest Virginia.

the goal of this campaign is to create 1,000 cards by July 21.
