The Salem VA Medical Center has a cancer screening event coming up on May 10th.

May is skin cancer awareness month and with more than 5 million cases diagnosed in the United States each year, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States.

Fortunately, skin cancer is also one of the most preventable forms of cancer. 

Beth Wright, the Salem VA Medical Center’s Women Veterans Program Coordinator and Trish Cox, a Nurse Practitioner for Women’s Health to talk with us about what Salem VA Medical Center is doing to help our female Veterans become more aware about skin cancer.
