Family Service of Roanoke Valley’s new initiative strives to help COVID-19 Stress and Anxiety


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Recently there has been a lot of uncertainty growing with the COVID-19 pandemic, and many people are experiencing stress, heightened emotions, and grief that they have never experienced before.

Family Service of Roanoke Valley and the United Way are hard at work to help serve the most vulnerable in our community.

Through a COVID response grant from United Way of Roanoke Valley, Family Service is able to offer: Four Free Telehealth or telephone sessions to those Ages 10 and up. Their goal is to help those in the community find additional, on-going resources for anyone who is interested and helps people know that someone is there to listen and help during this difficult time.
