DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The Danville Police Department and One Community are holding their annual Santa’s Little Blue Helpers Toy Giveaway Event during the Holiday season.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 19 with appointments available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Registration for the event begins on Monday, Nov. 6. This year, the department has a goal of reaching 500 children who otherwise would not have any presents to open on Christmas.
To register a child or to donate, contact Cpl. Sylvia Brooks at (434) 797-8898 ext. 1,2,3,4, or 5. Donations are also being accepted at the Danville Police Department on Community Way.
In order to register, the Danville Police Department says to talk to someone at one of these extensions to set up an appointment for registration. Leaving a message will not guarantee registration.
