LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR)—The Centra Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center is hosting its annual Trees of Hope event beginning Tuesday, Nov. 21.
During the event, the halls of the cancer center will be filled with a variety of Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees, wreaths, and table centerpieces. All items have been decorated and donated by local businesses, faith communities, civic clubs, and individuals.
Community members will be able to view and bid on the trees and further decorations. Bidding will be conducted virtually through an online auction platform which will be accessible through QR codes visitors can scan placed throughout the building.
Bidding will end at noon on Thursday, Dec. 14. All proceeds from the Trees of Hope will go towards the Centra Cancer Fund which benefits the patients, Caregivers, and communities served by the Centra Oncology Service Line.
