BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Deputies with the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office took time out of their day on Tuesday to bring smiles to those in need.
They stopped by homes to deliver meals to families needing a little nourishment as part of their second annual Thanksgiving Feast.
The sheriff’s office works with the local school system, the Department of Social Services, and community organizations to find out who may be struggling.
This year, about 20 families got all of the fixins for a proper Thanksgiving meal.
Bedford County Sheriff Mike Miller is asking for the community’s help to expand the event next year.
If you know of a family in need, he asks you to give them a call at 540-586-4800.
