SAN ANTONIO (WFXR) — Virginia Tech proved no match for the defending national champions as Baylor defeated the Hokies, 90-48, in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Tuesday night.

The Lady Bears advanced to their 12th straight Sweet 16 thanks to a pair of 21-point performances by DiJonai Carrington and Moon Ursin.

Freshman Georgia Amoore led the Hokies with 18 points while senior guard Aisha Sheppard dropped 15 in potentially her final game as a Hokie.

Virginia Tech finishes the 2020-21 season with a 15-9 record.
