BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia Tech secured its fifth consecutive ACC victory, setting a program record, after defeating Syracuse, 76-68, Sunday at Cassell Coliseum.
The Hokies hit four of their first five three-pointers of the game and staved off a late Orange run to improve to 12-7 overall, 7-7 in league play. Tech led by 22 points at halftime, the largest lead in any game this season.
Four players hit double figures for Virginia Tech, led by Aisha Sheppard who scored 23 points, followed by Elizabeth Kitley who added 18.
The Hokies will travel to Clemson, South Carolina to battle the Tigers on Thursday.
