HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a larceny after $50,000 worth of copper wire was stolen from in the Collinsville area.

According to deputies, the incident took place on Nov. 8, in the 4000 block of Virginia Ave. Local law enforcement arrived at the scene on Nov. 9, where they learned that a grey trailer holding about 18 rolls of copper wire was stolen.

After reviewing surveillance footage, investigators learned a white pickup truck was seen leaving the area and believe it was involved in the theft.

The HCSO says the copper wire is worth about $50,000.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Henery County Sheriff’s Office at (276) 638-8751 or the Crimestoppers Program at 63-CRIME (632-7463). The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information related to the crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
