WYTHEVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Wytheville Community College (WCC) will be closed to students next week as faculty and staff prepare for possible online classes in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

All college offices at all locations will remain open next week, including the library.

The college location will close on Friday, March 20, for sanitizing and cleaning. Whether upcoming events will continue as scheduled will be determined on a case-by-case basis, according to a WCC statement.

“WCC’s cancellation of classes follows the actions of numerous other colleges and universities. Cancelling classes for students will give faculty and staff time to develop plans to continue instruction.”
