New Freedom Farm announces limited closure, cancellation of future events to prevent COVID-19 spread

BUCHANAN, Va. (WFXR) — The New Freedom Farm announced Thursday morning a “difficult but necessary decision” to close temporarily in order to prevent potential spread of the coronavirus.

New Freedom Farm posted on Facebook Thursday, July 16 the farm will only be open by appointments for veterans and first responders.

In addition, due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and in the area — as well as the extreme summer heat — the farm says all future events are canceled until further notice.
