MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia is already on a state-at-home order and now Montgomery County, Blacksburg, and Christiansburg have responded by closing all playgrounds, public restrooms, and basketball courts effective at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The closures are part of efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus.

The county and towns said parks, trails, and other open spaces are still open for the public as long as people adhere to social distancing and there are no groups of 10 or more.
