GILES COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Carilion Clinic Community Health and Outreach is joining forces with the Giles County Christian Mission to hold a free educational session Thursday morning on how to properly and safely wear face coverings.
According to Carilion Clinic’s announcement earlier this week, the free education session will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 16 at Giles County Christian Mission at 516 Wenonah Avenue in Pearisburg.
During this event, one of Carilion’s Community Health Educators — Stephanie Spencer — will reportedly be onsite to share some tips on why and how to wear a face mask and/or face covering in a safe and effective manner.
Officials say the event is open to the public — no registration or attendance fees necessary — and will have free parking. However, attendees must be 18 or older to participate, and any attendees under that age must be accompanied by an adult, according to Carilion’s announcement.
Everyone is welcome! Attendees must be 18 years or older to participate. If under 18 years of age, must be accompanied by an adult.
