GALAX, Va. (WFXR) — On Sept. 30, a vehicle exploded after it was consumed by flames in Galax.
Around 7:34 p.m., crews were called to the intersection of Riverside Drive and Riverview Lane for a vehicle fire.
On the scene, firefighters found a vehicle fully covered in flames. Crews worked to quickly contain the blaze, but a magnesium explosion occurred.
The fire was contained and crews worked on the scene for 30 minutes.
There were no reported injuries.
