ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — One of our Furry Friends gets a happily ever after! WFXR News featured Chester on Furry Friends back on August 24, 2022. WFXR’s Amanda Kenney fell in love with him immediately and decided to try a meet and greet with her current dog, Paxton.

After a couple of weeks of meeting, Amanda fostered Chester! The Franklin County Humane Society worked with Amanda to make sure Chester was a good fit for her family. Months later, after making it through some medical and behavioral challenges, they made it official! Chester found his forever home with Amanda’s family!

Chester was one of seven dogs the Franklin County Humane Society rescued from Tennessee. He had mange and was a very shy, scared puppy. Now he is healthy and his older brother, Paxton, is teaching him how to walk with confidence and play in the backyard!
